Private Pilot Helicopter Training



UZAIR specializes in vertical helicopter flight training with the R-22 Beta II Trainer per FAR 61 Regulations.  The student must meet the following requirements shown below.  Requirements are based on a Private Pilot Helicopter rating.
  1. Hold at valid drivers license or valid picture identification.
  2. Hold a current 3rd Class Medical Certificate.
  3. Complete the UZAIR online student application for private pilot training acceptance criteria.
  4. Must be 17 years of age.
  5. Must read, write, speak and understand the English language 
UZAIR will provide the following VFR Helicopter Flight Training per FAR 61 Regulations as follows:
  1. 38 HRS of Ground Training
  2. Written Logbook Endorsement to take the FAA Airman Knowledge Test for Private Helicopter Rating
  3. 20 HRS of Dual Flight Instruction in R-22 Beta II Helicopter
  4. Written Logbook Endorsement authorizing the student to fly solo, perform solo cross county flights and to fly to near airports 
  5. 11 HRS of R-22 Beta II Solo Flight Training 
  6. 3 HRS of Dual night flight training in R-22 Beta II
  7. 3 HRS of Dual Cross Country Flight Training in R-22 Beta II 
  8. 3 HRS of R-22 Beta II Dual Flight Training in preparation for taking the FAA practical flight test for the Private Helicopter Rating
  9. Written Logbook Endorsement to take the FAA Airman Practical Test for Private Helicopter Rating 
Prices are based on a FAA minimum requirement of accumulated aeronautical experience and does not reflect the student's learning abilities or consistency in acquiring the skill and knowledge base required to pass the FAA written and FAA Check Ride for an Private Pilot Helicopter Rating under FAR 61.
